UV is a widely accepted successful technology with increasing applications. It is now mainly applied in the treatment of drinking and wastewater; nevertheless its adoption for the disinfection of air and surfaces is becoming increasingly widespread.
Even in this field its germicidal action, the simplicity of application and versatility are widely acknowleged by the operators. UV light treatment ensures viruses, bacteria and moulds are killed, improving air quality and the level of surface hygiene.
ADVANTAGES
APPLICATION
In residential installations and offices our systems can ensure better air quality by eliminating pathogens and allergens, especially where air is recycled to save energy. UV air disinfection systems can be applied to the treatment of incoming air in food processing plants, but also for the treatment of surfaces such as conveyor belts, cutting and packaging stations, to reduce bacterial load and ensure a longer product shelf life.
In restaurants and canteens UV can be used reduce odours and control dirt in hoods and air pipes. In the pharma industry and in hospitals UV is used to ensure the inactivation of harmful bacteria and pathogens.
